Not McGregor or Mayweather, Paul wants to confront the "king of the weight classes"

Jake Paul is confident that he can compete at world class in boxing, and the ultimate goal of the YouTube star is Canelo Alvarez.

In the professional arena, Paul currently has a 3-0 record. On August 29, the American boxer will face former UFC champion Tyron Woodley at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Ohio.

Paul is about to face Woodley, a formidable opponent

Paul is confident that within the next few years, he will be qualified to fight Canelo, who is currently regarded as the best boxer in the world across all weight classes.

According to the Mirror, he said that his initial goal was to fight Conor McGregor or Floyd Mayweather. He is confident that he'll be able to make enough money per view for these fights. That inspires him to be world champion, and he wants to fight and defeat Canelo. He loves the game and he thinks that he will be really good at it.

What's more, Paul believes he will present a more difficult challenge than the Mexican star's recent opponents, such as Billy Joe Saunders and Avnyi Yildrim.

He also believes it would be preferable to fight Canelo rather than McGregor or Mayweather. He believes McGregor has reached his peak, and it is clear to him that Yildrim, the Turkish warrior, has given up. Considering Yildrim is not as quick and determined as him, Paul is eager for a fight against him.

Canelo is the 24-year-old star's real target

Logan Paul, Jake's brother, recently competed in a performance match against legendary Mayweather. As a result, they were undefeated after an eight-inning battle. Despite the impact of Covid-19, both players walked away with large sums of money after the match.

Despite this, "younger" Paul insists that he is uninterested in performance competitions. To fight Canelo, the 24-year-old boxer is prepared to lose a significant amount of weight.
